Camp Meeting Has Begun
February 4, 2010
February 4th to the 14th, 2010. Avon Park Holiness Camp Tabernacle.
Several years ago I had no idea what Camp Meeting was. One of my friends invited me to join her in the choir. Most of the ladies assumed that because I was there I knew what they were talking about. The first year, I think I only went to one or maybe two meetings. This year I have the entire ten days blocked out on my calendar.
It's a time when Christians come together from all over the world. We meet on hallowed ground, or so it seems. We have speakers, this year from Indiana and Michigan. Our Bible study starts at 9:15 every morning, with Worship services at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. We have Missionary day on Monday. They walk in carrying a flag from the country they are serving as a Missionary. It is ten days you will never forget.
