MY PERSPECTIVE
April 16, 2009
I have a dear friend who has the unfortunate birthday of April 15th. However, it's probably no different that many other days. I have friends who also have birthdays on January 1st, February 14th, April 1st, July 4th, December 24th and December 25th. I'm thinking however, those birthdays are still just as special. So isn't it just your perspective? Of course it is. I have been getting phone calls, letters and emails asking me when the next book will be out. I'm typing as fast as I can. I'm working 9 hours a day, five or six days a week. Some days I'm feeling a little like those people with the birthdays on recognized "holidays". Or maybe I'm feeling like the person who sits down at the computer keyboard and your fingers are over one letter---so you start typing and it's a foreign language. Some days I feel like I'm just bobbing up and down. Barely keeping my head above water. But again, that's just my take on it. To other people, I am lucky. I "get to stay home to work". I can eat whenever I want, I can take a nap, and who will know? To the people who have birthdays on the dates I mentioned, I think you're lucky too. There will be a celebration for the day. Just pretend everyone is celebrating your birthday. Again that's just from my perspective.
