IT'S IN THE BOX
February 13, 2009
I had no idea how much "stuff" I had. I suppose it takes a "move" to learn that fact about yourself. I found notebooks, and post it notes and paper clips I didn't know I had. We had so many friends call and offer to help. I tried to send thank you notes and I also thanked them publically. That's one of the things I don't like to do, because I always fear leaving someone out. My husband still shakes his head at the outpouring of help we received when it came down to the final moving day. There were several days before, when we were packing. What a mess that is too. You have half the kitchen packed, or half the bathroom in boxes. I had everything organized by room. When they started moving the boxes, I couldn't be at both places, so by the time I got to the new house, I had to hunt for everything. The morning "after the move" was a Sunday. I couldn't sleep at all Saturday night, not knowing where my deodorant, shampoo or toothbrush were. I also couldn't find pantyhose. I suppose in Florida that's not that big a deal. After searching for several days for a bottle of lotion, shampoo and cream rinse, I walked into my husbands bathroom. Actually I was putting towels on the shelf. There for all the world to see were all the items I had been searching for. I'm wondering now, was it a ploy just to get me to keep unloading boxes? I'll bet he knew all along----
