MERRY CHRISTMAS

December 15, 2008

My plan is to surprise my 91 year old Father this Christmas. I am planning a trip to Ohio. Since he doesn't have a computer and doesn't subscribe to this newsletter, I am hoping to surprise him with a visit. I'm thinking I may be more surprised than he. It's been four years since I have driven in snow or on ice. I'm used to shorts, tee-shirts and sandles. I've been shopping for boots and long pants. I have a pair of socks, somewhere! When I board the plane, in Florida, the temperature will still be about 80 degrees. When I land, I'll be very lucky if it's 20 degrees. I've been trying to remember all the things I need to pack, like gloves.
I know my Dad will be surprised to see me. I'll be happy to see him too.
If you can't fly home to see your family, pick up the phone and call them. Tell them you love them. Tell them you miss them. What better time than Jesus birthday to tell everyone close to you how much they mean to you.
There are lots of people I wish I could see at christmas. Friends and family who are spread out across the country.
Don't forget to hug each other. I'll be thinking of you at Christmas, and praying for you. I hope your celebration is the best you have ever had.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night--------
